When Hunting for a Job....
You have applied to 175 job openings to be exact, secured 3 interviews out of those but remained jobless as of today.
Job hunting can be demeaning at times especially when you think that you have very rich work experience but calls from companies aren't coming as easily as you have expected.
So, what can you do when this happens to you?
First of all, stop yourself from feeling down. It's not the end of the world. Be thankful that another day has gone by and a layer of wisdom got added into your life. Look forward to a new day. Breathe. Exercise. Enjoy your coffee.
Hope.
Pray.
Feeling down will only attract negative vibes.
Stay on top of your game. Easier said than done? Nay! Will it!
Secondly, improve yourself and everything about you. Take a look at your CV and get help from professional resume writer if you must. Get new insights on what you know and up-skill. If it's really difficult to land a job that you are used to, explore other options. Find another niche. Think of other things that you may be good at, and rekindle your "friendship" with them. Sharpen the saw. Read. Practice. Learn something new. In this digital age, you need not pay much on training because almost everything is in YouTube!
Thirdly, pay your connections a "visit", may it be via call or a text or Linkedin message or an email or through messaging in social media platforms. If it is possible, face-to-face meet up is best.
Lastly, never give up. There is a reason for everything and that reason will eventually show itself at the right time. God may just be telling you to take some more rest.
For now, enjoy the chilly morning and the warm sun. Who knows, in no time, you might be working at graveyard shift once more and these things will become luxury again.
