Change for Lexel

On December 5, I got a text message from Dra. Bernal of PGH Plastic Surgery stating that Lexel is scheduled for surgery the following week and that we need to go to PGH for admission the following day. I declined because we were not yet ready then. I requested for a reschedule. On December 9, I received another text from Dra. Bernal that Lexel is for admission on December 10. He went through plastic surgery on December 13. From then on, things changed beautifully for my son.

His eyes are now almost on the same level. He might not need another surgery in June.

Supposedly, in June of this year, silicon will be implanted on top of his left cheekbone so as to elevate his left eye. But looking at the magnificent works of the PGH plastic surgeons with the guidance of Dr. Bernard Tansipek (consultant and secretariat of Nordoff Foundation), I think he doesn’t need another surgery anymore.

Lexel have been saying that he can see with his left eye now because the two eyes seemed aligned already. This means that the blurring of his vision will not worsen anymore.

Thank you, PGH.

Thank you, PGH Plastic Surgeons.

Thank you, Dr. Bernard Tansipek.

Thank you, Nordoff Foundation and the Smile Train.

Thank you, Lord, for this blessing!
